Gallagher Bassett has appointed Jane Hunt as Victoria claims operations manager, reporting to Mark Daniels, who, as of March, has been seconded to general manager for workers' compensation in Victoria for a three-month period.
Darrin Wright, GB’s executive director of personal injury, said Hunt's “extensive experience within workers’ compensation and working with state regulators... will be of benefit to our clients, customers, as well as the GB team."
Hunt has more than 15 years' experience working for the South Australian and Commonwealth governments, including ReturnToWorkSA, where her most recent roles include heading a team who oversaw the implementation of support programs for catastrophically injured workers, as well as the development and/or implementation of regulatory programs for the Crown and private self-insured employers within the state.
Daniels, meanwhile, brings to his new role a wealth of experience in insurance operations at both state and national level, as well as a diverse background in sales and operational leadership, the claims services provider said.
Daniels originally joined GB in 2002, and returned last year as part of the firm's strategic sales team after pursuing other opportunities, including working as national workers’ compensation manager at Catholic Church Insurance for six years.
