Insurance Business Australia (IB) recently identified the best professional indemnity (PI) insurers in Australia for 2022, celebrating firms that stood out over the last 12 months despite the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors that resulted in a challenging insurance market. Among the winners was FTA Insurance (FTA), which has taken home the IB 5-Star Award for PI insurers for two years already.
In an interview with IB, FTA founder and managing director Christian Garling (pictured) shared how FTA remained at the top, earning a spot among IB's 5-Star Professional Indemnity Insurers in Australia for 2022.
Garling explained that FTA did well in the particularly tough directors and officers (D&O) liability insurance area, especially for its errors and omission (E&O) lawyers and E&O not-for-profit offerings, thanks to its focus on well-run private companies purchasing its PI offering, establishing a deeper relationship with their clients, and gaining more knowledge of their businesses.
“This has, in turn, led to FTA and its brokers being able to provide a better offering to its brokers and their clients,” he added.
