Gallagher Bassett has welcomed 10 fresh faces to its 2019 internship program, designed to equip young people with the necessary skills and experience to enable them to become successful insurance professionals.
The six-week program includes a highly interactive three-day orientation event, a networking evening where the intern group was welcomed by GB leaders, executives, and staff, regular coaching and mentoring, weekly videoconference sessions, and individual development plans. All interns have also been assigned a process-improvement project, which they will present in their final week of the program.
“I’m excited to welcome another intake of students to our award-winning internship program,” said Cathy James, GB’s learning and development specialist. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore the many rewarding career pathways at GB, while also offering real-world experience to support their studies. Our business thrives on their motivation and enthusiasm and they are integral to the continued growth of our business each year.”
GB’s internship program was recently awarded by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) as the Best Intern Program in Australia for 2018.
