Commercial property insurer FM Global has expanded its footprint in Australia by opening a new office in Western Australia.
The WA office is FM Global's third office in Australia and first on the West Coast. Located at St Georges Terrace, the new office will cater to the unique needs of FM Global's clients in the state.
Andrew Stafford, operations senior vice president at Australia and New Zealand, said the expansion reinforces the insurer's position as a global leader in commercial property insurance and risk management, and strengthens its relationships with clients, brokers, and partners.
“We've always believed in the power of listening to our clients, and this expansion directly responds to their need for closer contact and support in the region. We are here to help businesses manage risk more effectively and empower them to build resilience,” Stafford said.
As part of launching the new office, FM Global made two appointments in Perth – Anthony Brown took on the role of account manager, while Scott Chapman took on the role of account engineer.
Brown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry, most recently serving as a senior loss adjuster at Charles Taylor Adjusting. He worked in the civil construction and mining industries in Australia, the UK, and the United Arab Emirates.
Chapman has partnered closely with FM Global clients across various sectors. Based in Western Australia for the past five years, he has a wealth of experience and understanding of the local market.
FM Global expects the appointments to boost its consultant field engineers, who have been based in the region for over two decades.
Last month, FM Global appointed a senior vice president, division manager of AFM.
