A former insurance boss at RACQ has been appointed to the top job at Auto & General Insurance Australia.
John Myler (pictured) will join Auto & General as CEO on January 07, after more than 20 years of experience across various financial services institutions, most recently as RACQ Insurance CEO. He also spent 11 years at Allianz Insurance working in a range of executive roles, including CEO of Allianz Global Assistance across Australia and New Zealand.
Myler’s “extensive experience and significant contribution to the insurance industry means John is a perfect fit for our growing business,” said Ram Kangatharan, Group MD and CEO at Auto & General Asia-Pacific. “We have had a fantastic year with Budget Direct winning insurer of the year, expansion of our partnership with ING Bank, and the launch of a new partnership with Qantas Loyalty. I’m looking forward to bringing in our 20th year of operation in 2020 with John leading the insurance Australia team.”
