Personal injury claims management services EML is celebrating two years as an agent for WorkSafe Victoria this July.
EML started its operations in 2016 and has since grown to employ 240 specialists in injury management in offices in Melbourne’s CBD and Geelong, providing services to more than 24,000 employers.
“Our people are motivated by our vision of people getting their lives back, and over the past two years we’ve helped over 3,400 people return to work,” said Declan Collins, EML’s general manager in Victoria. “One of the things that makes EML different is our investment in initiatives to help our customers create safer workplaces, and feedback shows they really value this.”
One initiative EML has heavily invested in is its mobile case management service.
“Our mobiles have clocked up 500,000 kilometres travelling across Victoria doing more than 2,350 site visits, meeting with employers and workers to help them return to work,” Declan said.
EML’s other initiatives include the Recovery After Trauma guides, which provide “practical, accessible information to help health and emergency service workers identify and manage symptoms of PTSD early,” the development of an industry-first interactive, personalised video to help workers understand the claims process, and the (Mis)behave with Dave videos, which uses humour to raise awareness about the risk of mental injury in the workplace.
