The annual festival for diversity and inclusion (D&I) in insurance just keeps getting bigger and better.
Up from last year’s 32 cities, Dive In 2018 is slated to reach more than 50 cities – with the likes of Amman, Tokyo, San Antonio, and Wellington hosting festival events for the first time. Back in 2015, the first-ever Dive In was held only in London.
Taking place on September 25-27 in 26 countries, the fourth edition marks the transition from ‘awareness into action’. With this year’s festival theme #time4inclusion, Dive In is embarking on a two-year campaign to make things happen towards D&I.
“The Dive In festival is a catalyst for the global insurance industry that inspires collaboration around the key issues of talent and innovation,” commented Inclusion@Lloyd’s chair Dominic Christian, who is also global chair at Aon Benfield International. “Our fourth year is a good time to focus our combined efforts on translating the growing awareness into action – supporting our industry’s ability to thrive and stay globally competitive and relevant.”
Lloyd’s talent development and inclusion head Pauline Miller said Dive In 2018 will see more subject matter experts leading valuable and engaging discussions in order to equip industry professionals with the tools to take action not only within their organisations but also individually.
“This year’s festival builds on the accelerated progress on diversity and inclusion across the sector in the last three years,” noted Miller. “We’ve reported on a higher number of companies taking action in our annual research Holding up the Mirror, at the senior exec level, throughout organisations, and through cross-industry collaboration.”
This year’s gold sponsors – the most the festival has ever had – include AIG, Aon, Chubb, CNA Hardy, Guy Carpenter, Lloyd’s, Marsh, Miller, Prudential, Willis Towers Watson, XL Catlin, and Zurich. Kennedys is a gold festival partner.
