CRM Brokers announces COO appointment

CRM Brokers has appointed a 30-year financial services veteran to a newly created executive role.

Gordon Bell, whose wide range of financial services experiences include roles at Suncorp, Zurich, and Westpac, joins CRM Brokers as chief operating officer, to take charge of building the broker’s service offering across all business lines, with a special interest in its strata book of clients.

He will be working closely with CRM directors, Damien Coorey and Joseph Saad.

“With [Bell’s] business acumen and ability to manage and foster key relationships across a range of stakeholders, I am confident he will be play a pivotal part in driving our business forward,” Coorey said.

Bell “is a fantastic addition to our leadership team and he will be key in championing our customer focus and growth strategy, that we and the team are very excited about,” Saad said. 

Bell has experience working in the UK, Saudi Arabia, and Australian markets. He joined the Sydney market in 2004 and for the past 11 years has held a number of senior roles with specialist underwriting agencies, including his last role as general manager for Longitude Insurance.
