Coverforce has announced the appointment of Gareth Carpenter as its new national broking manager, effective immediately. In his new role, Carpenter will be based in Sydney and is set to enhance the company’s mid-market and schemes and facilities capabilities.
Tony Goldsmith, CEO of Coverforce Group, expressed enthusiasm about the new hire. “Gareth brings a wealth of technical broking expertise to our business and helps elevate our existing mid-market and schemes and facilities capability,” said Goldsmith.
“Gareth adds further depth to the Coverforce executive team and his authentic and energetic leadership style will be well received by all clients and employees.”
“The opportunity to join Coverforce and help expand our national broking footprint was a challenge I couldn’t resist,” said Carpenter.
“Having already spent a few weeks in the role I am impressed with the quality of the Coverforce team around me plus the high calibre of the current Coverforce clients. The strong foundation Coverforce Insurance Broking already has in place makes the next growth phase an exciting one to lead.”
In his new role, Carpenter will oversee Coverforce’s insurance broking businesses located in Barangaroo (NSW) and South Melbourne (Victoria). His appointment is expected to drive further growth and development within the company, according to a news release.
Coverforce boasts over 25 years of experience and manages $600 million in gross written premiums annually. The company is fully owned by the Steadfast Group, the largest general insurance broker network in Australasia, with annual billings exceeding $10 billion.
In February, Coverforce announced a partnership with Great American Insurance Group, aiming to enhance digital access to Great American’s commercial insurance products across the United States. The collaboration allows appointed agents and brokers nationwide to access Great American’s offerings, including workers’ compensation and business owner’s policies, through Coverforce’s advanced API.
Coverforce’s integration with Great American’s API suite facilitates a streamlined quoting process, significantly reducing the typical underwriting timeframe from weeks to minutes. The new system supports agents and brokers in applying for expedited appointments and tracking submissions, enhancing efficiency and sales throughput.
Over 3,500 users already onboarded at the time of the announcement, including major agency networks and management systems.
