Australia’s market leader in recreational boating insurance has released a new feature-rich mobile app for boaties.

Simon McLean calls the new app “a first for the marine industry” which combines both fun and function into one easy-to-use mobile app.
Created by boaties for boaties and designed in collaboration with some of Australia and New Zealand’s leading boating enthusiasts and Club Marine’s own team of marine safety and insurance specialists, the app is available for iOs and Android devices.
“This is no ordinary app – it’s packed with features that no boatie should be without,” he said.
Highlights include quick access to policy information – making it easy to quickly provide Proof of Insurance, lodge a claim on the go, renew or update policy details or even buy a new policy.
In addition, the app provides free access to severe weather alerts which notify boaties of any impending weather events – both on and off the water.
Boaties can also receive alerts for the current location as well as up to four additional locations, like where the boat is moored – so if something is going to affect the boat owner or their property, the app will let them know.
The app allows users to store important records, such as photos of the boat and equipment, licences and permits and other important information a boatie might need on the go.
There’s even a Help Me feature which allows members to contact Club Marine Assist, a round-the-clock service that offers advice, assistance, directions, information about marine service centres and more.
“It’s all part of our commitment to supporting recreational boating and helping everyone get the most out of their boating experience,” said McLean.
