Charles Taylor has appointed insurance veteran Richard Lance as the new client director to its Adjusting business in Australia.
Lance has more than 30 years of insurance experience for adjusters, underwriters, and brokers. Before joining Charles Taylor Adjusting (CTA), Lance served as the Pacific claims manager of a major global broker, where he managed numerous multi-million losses in the region and claims leadership in APAC.
He also has a wealth of experience in managing large and complex claims, particularly on property and natural resources lines of business across the Asia-Pacific region, such as Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Island nations.
In his new role, Lance will be responsible for enhancing and growing existing and new client bases and ensuring that the business matches its technical offerings to its clients. His work will involve multiple product lines, including natural resources, property & casualty, cyber, professional indemnity, TPA, and bespoke offerings.
Lance will be based in Sydney, Australia, and report directly to CTA regional head of Australia & New Zealand, Andrew Hodkinson.
Commenting on the appointment, Hodkinson said: “We’re delighted to have Richard join us and are confident that under his guidance we will provide a deeper level of client engagement that ensures our high standard of service and facilitates our growth ambition. His wealth of experience and a reputation for reasonably handling the most complex of claims challenges is a significant asset to our business, which will benefit both clients and our adjusting teams.”
