Brooklyn Underwriting has revealed that Tim Fairbrother has been appointed as the new head of the business.
Fairbrother, who takes on the position effective immediately, will report to
Robin Johnson, country manager for XL Catlin in Australia.
Previously, Fairbrother spent five years overseeing Brooklyn’s broker relationship management, product distribution, brand management, marketing and communications following a successful rugby career.
“His appointment as Head of the Brooklyn team represents continuity and commitment to you and your clients,” Craig Langham, chief executive Asia Pacific, at XL Catlin said in a statement.
Fairbrother takes over from
David Porteous, who resigned from the firm earlier this month.
Porteous had been with the firm since 2011 and helped facilitate the deal that saw XL Catlin purchase the underwriting agency last year.
