The Underwriting Agencies Council (
UAC) has said that they expect brokers to “flock” to the annual Underwriting Expo to be held in Brisbane next month.
The event, which takes place at the Pullman Hotel in the city on July 15
th, is expected to draw up to 400 brokers from across the state, UAC said.
The “always popular” event will feature a free, UAC-sponsored breakfast for
NIBA Young Professionals before kicking off at 9.30am for the all-important networking opportunities.
“The Expo, from 9.30am to noon, gives brokers an opportunity to view underwriting agencies’ specialist product offerings and talk directly to agency staff about agencies’ solutions to their clients’ risks.
“The Expo is followed by a lunch with guest speaker Layne Beachley, the most successful female surfer ever,” the council said.
Beachley will speak of her experiences as the only surfer to ever win six straight world titles and of her foundation, the Layne Beachley Aim for the Stars Foundation, which aims to encourage young women to pursue their passions.
