Ibbotson, the former CEO of QBE Australia, has been appointed to the newly-created role of group commercial director. Working with the executive team, he will build a strategy for future growth in Australia.

Ibbotson has more than 20 years’ experience in insurance. As well as stepping into the role of CEO of QBE Australia, he was also the global head of distribution. He retired from QBE in 2011.
