Zurich Australia has announced it has appointed a new chief operating officer for its general insurance business.
Raelene Seales, currently the head of wrap and SMSF platforms with ANZ, will replace outgoing Shaun Feely in the COO role, the company announced.
The company noted in a statement that, “Feely has made significant contributions since joining Zurich in 2010 and has been thanked for his service,” while Seales will begin her role with the insurer in August, 2015.
Prior to her role at ANZ, Seales worked in senior management positions at National Australia Bank and has more than two decades of experience in the banking and financial planning industries, “as well as extensive knowledge in the management of distribution, product, marketing and dealership services teams,” the company said.
The change follows former chairman Terry Paradine’s
retirement from the company earlier this year, as non-executive director Paul Bedbrook took his place.
