IAG has announced that one of its long-standing board members is to retire following more than a decade at the company.

Yasmin Allen, who joined the board in November 2004, will step down and will be replaced on executive committees by existing board members.

Brian Schwartz, chairman of IAG, thanked Allen for her time at the company and stressed that the board is equipped to deal with her departure.

“Yasmin has made an extensive and valuable contribution to IAG throughout the past 11 years as a director and Board committee member,” Schwatz said.

“She has been an excellent director and a wonderful colleague and we wish her all the best as she pursues her other roles.

“With the recent appointments of Elizabeth Bryan, Tom Pockett and Jon Nicholson we have ensured that IAG continues to have a strong Board that is well-positioned to guide the company as it develops and implements its strategy.”

Allen will be replaced by Bryan on the risk committee whilst Nicholson will step in on the risk and audit committee and Alison Deans will take a spot on the people and remuneration committee.

The company also announced the appointment of a new company secretary as Taryn Morton resigned with Sejil Mistry-Moodley stepping into the role.
