McConnell (pictured, left) joined AFA after a successful 22-year career at Marsh in the Affinity and Commercial businesses. He is well known in the Melbourne insurance market and experienced in accident and health and liability.
In its announcement, AFA deemed McConnell a significant appointment in its expansion plans – from the leaders in accident and health to public liability and general property.
Mitchell (pictured, right) joined AFA to assist its well-known underwriters Jackson Cabarrus, Sam Porter, and Rob Collins in providing the company's Gold standard ‘same-day-service’ to brokers.
AFA, one of the winners of Insurance Business Australia's Brokers on Underwriting Agencies 2022 report, confirmed that it will join the UAC/Lloyd's 2023 Sydney Underwriting Expo.
“Come and catch up with the AFA team at our stand, learn more about our same-day service, or grab some of our brand-new look goodies,” it said in a statement.
The Sydney Underwriting Expo is one of the UAC's 10 expos across Australia this year to enable UAC member agencies and business service members to showcase their specialist products to insurance brokers. In December 2022, Lloyd's announced that it will sponsor the UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo to be held early this year.
