Aviso Broking – part of the Envest Group, a subsidiary of global insurance distribution platform The Ardonagh Group – has expanded its presence in Newcastle by acquiring Scott Insurance Consulting.
Scott Insurance Consulting is a transport-focused authorised representative (AR) of Resilium Insurance Broking, an Ardonagh Group business. It has operated locally for more than 27 years.
Scott Insurance managing director Shane Scott said: “I've spent nearly three decades building a business based on trust and servicing the insurance needs of my customers. I'm invested in the transport insurance industry, and [I] am confident Aviso Broking [is] the right team to continue to support our customers with all their insurance requirements.”
The deal is the first acquisition of a Resilium AR since Aviso and Resilium were united under The Envest Group in February 2023.
“Having worked with Resilium for years, I know their commitment to providing Aussies with quality insurance solutions aligns with mine. It's a comfort to know my legacy remains in the Resilium family, now as part of the Aviso Broking,” Scott said.
Aviso Broking CEO Jeff Moule welcomed the Scott Insurance Consulting team to Aviso Broking.
“Shane and his team have built a solid business with a strong reputation for offering the best advice on transport insurance. Scott's integrity-driven approach is a great fit with Aviso Broking, and we look forward to maintaining the level of service their clients expect,” Moule said.
Last month, Aviso Broking acquired Macquarie Insurance Brokers (Macquarie).
