Ausure has announced that it has acquired a 50% stake in a Wollongong-based brokerage.
The firm has acquired a stake in Abico Insurance Brokers and will partner with David North, managing director of Abico, who will continue to lead the business.
Abico was established in 1981 and has a specialisation in general commercial and construction, transport and earthmoving cover.
“Abico enhances Ausure’s network and is in line with its strategy of partnering with like-minded insurance professionals,” the firm said in a statement.
“It also complements our existing partnership with Ruralco Holdings by providing Ausure a footprint in Southern NSW to provide products and services to Ruralco clients in that region.”
