Award-winning Austbrokers Coast to Coast CEO Dale Hansen, who took home several Insurance Business (IB) awards over the years and was recently included in the IB Hot List 2022, discussed with IB TV how a great mentor helped him with his career choice.
In an interview with news editor Danny Wood at IB TV, the 2022 Hot Lister Hansen (pictured) said, unlike many insurance professionals who fell into the insurance industry, he chose to enter insurance in his early teens after being inspired by a mentor - an insurance broker who “really enjoyed what they do … always seemed to be enjoying themselves, and spoken so very well of the industry and his job.”
Moreover, having that kind of mentor inspired Hansen to actively seek roles in the industry that he would enjoy. He climbed the insurance career ladder until becoming an award-winning executive in Austbrokers Coast to Coast – a well-known insurance broker that provides a wide variety of broking services for various kinds of insurance, such as commercial and residential insurance, as well as hard-to-place risks.
