A reinsurer has reshuffled its management team, giving the boss an expanded role.
Property & casualty reinsurer Gen Re Australia has boosted managing director Pietro Toffanello’s role to include property/casualty regional manager responsibilities for the Asia Pacific.
As part of a reshuffle, Andrew Flitcroft will assume the role of deputy property/casualty regional manager and Damien Leary will assume the role of property/casualty manager for Australia and New Zealand. Rainer Schurmann will assume the role of property/casualty manager for Asia. They will all report to Toffanello.
Tobias Pfau has been named regional chief treaty underwriter, with responsibility for the underwriting of Gen Re's treaty business in Asia Pacific.
Toffanello said: “Today marks another important milestone on Gen Re’s journey in the Asia Pacific region. Our newly streamlined management structure embodies our strong dedication to better deliver our knowledge and resources to our local clients.”
