ASIC-regulated individuals and organisations have been urged to fulfil their legal obligations under new industry funding laws as the deadline looms close.
Letters had been sent by the corporate regulator to registered office addresses, advising the entities how they can provide industry-funding contact details and submit business-activity metrics via the new online ASIC regulatory portal by Sept. 27.
Cathie Armour, ASIC commissioner said those who received the letter should follow the steps outlined to complete the process, while those who do not have the letter should go visit ASIC’s website to find out what they need to do before the Sept. deadline.
“We appreciate that this is an entirely new funding model for all involved – and our focus is on ensuring people know what they need to do,” Armour said.
Most small proprietary companies or registered charities are not required to visit the portal and submit data.
