Gallagher & Co. (AJG) has acquired the Naples, Florida-based Premier Insurance, LLC, Lutgert Insurance.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Lutgert Insurance, founded in 1953, is a retail property and casualty insurance broker and benefit consultant. While the broker handles both commercial and personal insurance businesses, it focuses on construction, hospitality, real estate development/property managers, and high-net-worth individuals.
A release said that following the acquisition, Lutgert Insurance president and CEO Bud Hornbeck, senior vice-president Steve Benza, vice-president Marc Williams, and their associates will continue to operate from their offices in Naples, Ave Maria, Sarasota, Fort Myers and Marco Island, Florida. They will all answer to AJG’s head of retail property/casualty brokerage operations and AJG’s head of southeast employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.

Last month, AJG acquired another P&C insurer, Franklin-Case Agency, in Flemington, New Jersey.
