UK-based Ardonagh Global Partners has announced the appointment of Morna Leather as chief financial officer. Leather (pictured above) brings to the role 25 years of experience, primarily in financial services and insurance broking.
Prior to joining Ardonagh Global Partners, Leather served as CFO at RFIB, where she successfully managed the business through a period of growth and diversification, including the execution of acquisitions in the UK and elsewhere, and the company’s successful sale to Tyers. She has also held positions at Aon Benfield and PWC.
“Morna is a commercial and collaborative CFO with considerable international experience,” said Des O’Connor, CEO of Ardonagh Global Partners. “I’m delighted that she has joined Ardonagh Global Partners as we embark on our ‘buy, build, boost’ strategy in partnership with top-class management teams around the world.”
“Ardonagh is a business I’ve long admired,” Leather said. “The opportunity to support its global ambitions as part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team made this role very attractive. I’m looking forward to getting to know my new colleagues and the wider business.”
Ardonagh Global Partners was launched in April to invest in insurance distribution businesses outside the UK and Europe. If currently comprises US healthcare and benefits underwriter AccuRisk Solutions in a joint venture with the Amynta Group; Resilium, Australia’s largest independent broker network; and M&A insurance specialist Hemsley Wynne Furlonge.
