Insurer Arch Insurance Australia has announced the appointment of Michael Faulkner as the firm’s new distribution and engagement lead.
“We’re delighted to welcome Michael to the team,” said Dominic Brannigan, regional manager of Arch Insurance Australia. “With a wealth of experience and a strong track record of building strategic and long-lasting broker relationships, Michael is the perfect fit for this new role.
“He is well respected in the market and will enhance our ability to drive further growth across our underwriting portfolio, build our relevance and continue to deliver outstanding service for our broker partners.”
Faulkner has more than 20 years of experience in the Australian insurance industry, especially in roles that concern broking, underwriting, and business development.
Before joining Arch Insurance Australia, Faulkner served Vero Insurance as strategic relationship manager, international and strategic commercial partners. Before that, he was the senior business development manager.
Prior to that, he served as the relationship manager, commercial intermediaries at QBE Insurance Group as well as account manager in Milne Alexander and account executive at IC Frith Insurance Brokers. For his college degree, he went to William Clarke College from 1993 until 1999.
In his new role, Faulkner will be tasked with overseeing the management and development of strategic relationships with brokers based in Australia and the Pacific region. He will report to Brannigan and will also collaborate with the firm’s strategy and distribution team in London, which is headed by chief strategy and distribution officer Simon Williams.
