Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) has appointed seasoned underwriter Daniel Khalil as its senior underwriter for property, effective immediately.
Khalil (pictured) brings over 17 years of insurance market experience to Arch, most recently as a property production underwriter in Allianz Australia’s commercial division. He entered the insurance industry in 2005 at Jardine Lloyd Thompson. He also held roles at Lumley Insurance and Whitbread Insurance Brokers.
In his new role at Arch, Khalil is responsible for expanding the company's distribution network in the property market while growing the property division's product base and further diversifying its portfolio. He will also support the property team's skill development as a mentor.
Khalil is based in Sydney and reports to Sebastian Allison, underwriting manager for property at Arch.
“Arch is delighted to welcome Daniel to the property team. The relationships, expertise, and energy he brings to the role will contribute significantly to our ability to achieve our short- and long-term goals for the property sector,” Allison said.
