Global insurance brokerage Aon will host the fifth Health Symposium on Sept. 05 in Sydney.
The event will bring together more than 110 delegates from across the healthcare industry to explore ways Australian employers can promote and provide healthy and productive workplaces, the causes of burnout among employees, as well as how to recognise and manage medicolegal risk.
There will also be sessions on a range of highly topical issues including healthy communities and the duty of care, mental health and mindfulness, and resilience.
The conference will feature best in-class speakers including Chelsea Pottenger, mental wellbeing expert, Annalene Weston of Burnout and Medicolegal Risk, and Scott Stephens of Healthy Communities and the Duty of Care.
According to Aon’s 2019 Asia Pacific Employee Wellbeing Study, organisations with high engagement that have wellbeing programs enjoy 21% productivity, 22% higher probability, and 10% higher customer ratings.
“In today's everchanging landscape, it is more important than ever to be equipped with a skillset to offer a safe and productive workplace,” said Kenneth Corcoran, Aon healthcare practice leader in the Pacific. “We are delighted to host yet another exciting Health Symposium and bring together the latest thinking and leading health and wellbeing professionals and speakers.”
The event will finish with the launch of “Spenditude”, a new book co-written by Paul Gordon, Aon’s principal and head of financial wellbeing in the Pacific, that will help readers get on the right path to financial security through understanding behaviour to money.
