Global insurance and reinsurance brokerage Aon is set to host the 2018 Advanced Risk Conference, with the theme, “Navigating Risk in a Volatile World,” on Aug. 28 and 29, kicking off in Melbourne, to be followed by Singapore and Portugal.
The 14th annual event, part of the global Aon Insights Series, will tackle a number of international and local issues, including the impacts of global trade agreements, managing crisis risk in unstable times, managing a changing insurance market, and the impact and opportunities of blockchain.
More than 300 risk leaders are expected to attend the conference and will be welcomed by James Baum, chief risk officer of Aon Risk Solutions Australia, accompanied by returning conference master of ceremonies, Jason Disborough, CEO of multinational accounts (international) for Aon Risk Solutions.
The event will also explore the rapidly evolving nature of cyber risk with a discussion on building cyber resilience by Ed Stroz, co-founder of Stroz Friedberg (an Aon Company), and the journey into risks facing Australian organisations over the next 10 years, as examined by the Business Council of Australia CEO, Jennifer Westacott.
