Aon Risk Solutions has announced a new Pacific regional board structure in a bid to more closely align operations in Australia and New Zealand.

The Pacific board will look to drive progress and optimise growth for the business in the region and will consist of Aon Risk Solutions’ global CEO, Mike O’Connor; Geoff Blampied, New Zealand CEO; Lambros Lambrou, Australia CEO; Bill Hooper, Pacific COO and CFO, and John Cullen, Europe, the Middle East and Africa CEO.

In addition to his spot on the Pacific leadership board, Lambrou will also join the Global Aon Risk Solutions operating committee to represent the interests of the Pacific region.

“The new structure will bring the Pacific region’s industry-leading innovation to the fore and provide opportunities for increased collaboration amongst our key markets. We have some exceptional talent in our Pacific businesses and a great track record of profitable growth,” O’Connor said.

Blampied will be appointed non-executive chairman of Aon Risk Solutions Pacific, succeeding Cullen, alongside Lambrou’s expanded global role.

“Geoff is a leader with a growth track record second to none, and I am delighted to welcome him in his new role with its additional Pacific Board Chairmanship responsibilities,” O’Connor continued.

“Moreover, Lambros will bring to the Global Operating Committee a unique set of skills and experiences that have been developed during his time working for Aon in a number of international markets.”

The changes are effective immediately and will “drive progress through seamless collaboration, delivering best practice value and outcomes for clients, both regionally and globally,” the company said in a statement.
