Global brokerage Aon has kicked off its 15th annual risk conference in Melbourne, with the theme: “Maximising Performance, Managing Volatility”.
The 2019 Aon Insights Series, formerly called the Advanced Risk Conference, is being held in Sofitel from Oct. 15-16, bringing together an international audience of more than 300 risk leaders, with James Baum, CEO of Aon Australia, and Jason Disborough, CEO of multinational accounts (international) at Aon, serving as masters of ceremonies.
This year’s risk thought leaders will provide deep insight, new strategies, and real-life case studies to help risk leaders navigate through the increasingly demanding environment. Topics include the CFO’s perspective on managing risk in Australia today, the global and Australian economic environment and what it means for risk leaders, balancing the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, navigating the changing insurance market, assessing and managing organisational culture and the megatrends impacting the way workplaces function, and more.
“Global risks are at an all-time high, and risk-readiness has fallen to its lowest point in over a decade, according to the Aon 2019 Global Risk Management Survey,” Baum said. “We are delighted to host yet another insight event that will provide business leaders with the latest information, techniques and tools to recognise, harness and maximise the opportunity that volatility brings – both now and in the future.”
The Aon conference is part of a global series, with events also having taken place in Singapore and London in the last month.
