Aon has forged a commercial partnership with a Paralympic gold medalist, in a deal that would see the global risk and people firm supporting the player over the next three and a half years as he targets his next gold at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
Curtis McGrath OAM, fresh from defending his Paracanoe World Championship title, said he is thrilled to be teaming up with the global company.
“I’m looking forward to representing them and sharing my journey to 2020 with their almost 2,000 Australian colleagues and clients,” he said.

Scott Willmot, chief growth officer for Aon, said McGrath is the right fit for their company.
“From the first time I met Curtis and heard his story, I immediately saw an alignment in his values and goals and those of Aon,” Willmot said. “We seek to empower results through our business for our clients, colleagues, and communities, and Curtis embodies that spirit. Along with our support for the Australian Women’s Rugby Sevens, the Aon University Women’s Sevens series, and Australian Rowing, Curtis fits seamlessly into our portfolio of partners and we’re very proud to have him on board.”
McGrath will be competing in the indoor rowing and wheelchair rugby events at the Invictus Games, in Toronto, Canada, this week.
