Aon has a new CEO

Brokerage giant Aon has announced the appointment of Kevan Johnston (main picture) as CEO of Australia, effective April 1.

The firm’s Sydney media release said Johnston will report to Jennifer Richards, CEO of Asia Pacific and will join Aon’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

“Business acumen” and “comprehensive understanding”

“Kevan is a demonstrated leader in our industry, with the proven ability to build collaborative and high performing teams to solve clients’ emerging challenges in an evolving risk landscape,” said Richards.

She also referred to his “business acumen and comprehensive understanding of the insurance market positions.”

The release said Johnston has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience in Australia and the UK, including senior leadership positions at JLT and Aon. He previously served as Aon’s chief commercial officer.

“Together, as we expand our capabilities and invest in the business and technology, we will unlock new opportunities for our clients and colleagues, driving innovation and success,” said Johnston in the release.
