The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) will join forces with Guide Dogs SA/NT for the 51st annual South Australian Charity Luncheon.
This long-standing partnership underscores a shared commitment to supporting individuals with visual impairments or other special needs, a mission Guide Dogs SA/NT has pursued for over 65 years through its services, including the provision of guide and assistance dogs.
Commenting on the partnership, Guide Dogs SA/NT CEO Aaron Chia highlighted the organisation's approach to aid, which encompasses a variety of vision services, advocacy, and financial support for the community.
“Our iconic guide and assistance Dogs are a crucial part of the services we offer, but we also provide many other vision services along with advocacy work for our community and funding assistance,” he said. “I hope participants at the Charity Luncheon will feel inspired to support people living with low vision, blindness, and other specialised needs; whether that be financially, by offering time through volunteering, or by taking action to increase accessibility in our community.”
The luncheon is a cornerstone event for South Australia's insurance sector, offering a mix of fundraising activities designed to support the ongoing and expanding efforts of Guide Dogs SA/NT.
ANZIIF CEO Katrina Shanks shared her enthusiasm for the partnership, noting the alignment with the luncheon's tradition of benefiting local charities.
“ANZIIF is delighted to continue the tradition of partnering with local charities at this year's South Australian Charity Luncheon. Guide Dogs SA/NT is a charity that truly puts clients and their families at the heart of everything they do,” she said.
Holding many events this year, ANZIIF is also seeking entries for the 20th ANZIIF Australian Insurance Industry Awards.
