The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has announced that its Australian Insurance Industry Awards event has returned to the country this year, hosted in person for the first time since 2019.
Now in its 18th year, the event was founded by co-partners ANZIIF and Asia Insurance Review (AIR). It aims to recognise how Australia's insurance industry has continued to support its people, customers, and communities, and meet extraordinary achievements.
This year's event includes 17 categories to enable a wide range of insurance sectors to be represented as the Australian insurance market grows.
Commenting on the return of the event to Australia, ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford said: “This year, our esteemed panel of judges will be looking to see how our industry has continued to support [customers], [communities], and its people, and the extraordinary achievements that have helped our industry grow and flourish.
“We are overjoyed to see the return of the industry's night of nights, and boy, are we looking forward to seeing you in person and celebrating our industry.”
For 2022, ANZIIF has added two new categories to the Australian Insurance Industry Awards:
Submissions are open until May 9, 2022. Meanwhile, the event will be held at The Star Event Centre in Sydney on August 25, 2022.
“Once again, we invite you to apply and participate in this wonderful celebration of our industry. If you have any questions regarding the awards, please contact the ANZIIF team,” Willsford said. “We look forward to receiving your submissions and seeing you at the awards at The Star, Sydney, on Thursday, August 25, in person!”
Aside from the Australian Insurance Industry Awards 2022, ANZIIF's Rising Stars in Insurance event will also return this month in two cities after its hiatus since 2019.
