Allianz Worldwide Partners (AWP) has forged a five-year partnership with Unitywater, a statutory authority that provides water and sewerage services.
The deal will see AWP offering water-related insurance to Unitywater's customers in the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, and Noosa areas. The offering includes concealed leak protection insurance and emergency home assistance, designed to protect owners of stand-alone homes against unexpected expenses when things go wrong.

Concealed water leaks – usually caused by soil movement in dry weather, sandy soil that absorbs leaking water, and hilly terrain – can waste large volumes of water, which sometimes go unnoticed until the water bill arrives. The costs of water leaks are the responsibility of property owners.
“We are delighted to enter into a long-term partnership with Unitywater, opening a new territory of insurance under Allianz Worldwide Partners,” AWP CEO Craig Dalzell said. “The cost of concealed leaks can be high – at AWP, we believe it’s important that customers have the right level of support should a concealed leak happen on their property. We hope that this partnership will provide local residents with better assistance and insurance options should they experience a problem in the future.”
