Three car, home, and small-business insurance customers will bring home a Mazda CX-5, a $200,000 home makeover, and a $50,000 small-business prize pack, respectively, this month for winning
Allianz's Be Inspired to Win competition.
The winners were among those who were automatically entered into the contest for taking out or renewing their insurance policy with Allianz.
“When speaking to the person from Allianz’s marketing department, I thought it was a joke and just went along with it – and might’ve been a little rude,” said Wayne, winner of the Mazda CX-5 and $10,000 to spend on a road trip of his choice. “Later I called Allianz’s contact centre to check if there had been a competition, and found out that the winner had in fact been drawn that morning; and that’s when I realised I owed her an apology!”
Winning the home insurance prize – which includes a consultation with celebrity interior designer Darren Palmer and a team of experts – was 38-year-old Franky, who said the prize will go a long way towards the new house he is building in Romsey, Victoria.
“We’re very open to inspiration from the experts on how we can build our dream family home,” Franky said.
Finally, nabbing the $50,000 small-business prize pack was Simone, who works full-time in hospitality in Palm Cove, Tropical North Queensland and had a resort-management business.
“My husband and I take out our personal liability insurances with Allianz for our businesses and I’m incredibly excited and grateful to Allianz for essentially putting us a year ahead with this prize,” Simone said. “We’re also building a holiday house in Palm Cove that we’ll rent out as a side business, so this will go a long way in helping us finish that.” she said.
