Queen Screen Limited (Queer Screen), a non-profit organisation, is one of the world's largest platforms for LGBTIQ cinema. It aims to showcase the diversity of queer creativity through film, support queer filmmakers and other artists addressing diverse sexualities and gender identities, and build and nurture partnerships.
As part of its support to Queer Screen's 29th Mardi Gras Film Festival, Allianz will be the presenting partner for the movie “Jump, Darling,” a bittersweet family drama featuring powerful performances by Thomas Duplessie and the Academy Award-winning screen legend Cloris Leachman in her final starring role.
Brendan Dunne, Allianz Australia chief customer and operating officer and executive sponsor of Allianz Pride, said in a statement on LinkedIn that Allianz and Allianz Pride are proud to support this year's Mardi Gras Film Festival and the films to celebrate the LGBTIQ community and its allies.
Allianz Pride is one of the insurer's employee networks that promote diversity and inclusion across the organisation by bringing together its employees who share an identity or experience and their “friends and allies.” They also enable employees to consult with each other, raise awareness, and advocate change.
“At Allianz, we believe a diverse business is a strong business. Through our Allianz Pride network, we help all our colleagues feel like they truly belong by raising awareness of LGBTI issues in the workplace, supporting the professional development of LGBTI employees, and strengthening the participation and engagement of allies,” Dunne said.
