After assessing a competitive list of nominations, Insurance Business is proud to announce the excellence awardees for the Insurance Business Australia Awards 2025.
From the awardees listed below, judges will select one winner from each category. The winners will be announced and honoured at the awards night on May 2 at The Hilton Sydney.
Daniel Lukich (main picture, right side) said his firm, AAMC, the event partner, is “thrilled” to once again sponsor the Claims Team of the Year award.
“We work closely with insurers' claims teams and understand the daily challenges they face,” said Lukich, who is sales and strategic relationship manager for the firm, one of Australia’s largest providers of motor accident management services.
He said while media attention often highlights the negative, AAMC can attest to the “exceptional work” across the sector.
“This award provides a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge that excellence,” said Lukich.
AAMC is also sponsoring the Philanthropy & Community Service award with its Land+Road brand.
“It’s vital to recognise our sector’s commitment to measuring success - not only through financial outcomes but also through giving back to society, supporting initiatives that improve lives and fostering a culture of responsibility,” said Lukich.
The 2025 Awards will be a black-tie gala evening at The Hilton, one of Sydney’s most iconic hotel venues. Stand-up comedian Dave Hughes is the night’s master of ceremonies.
Another big award is sponsored by the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC).
“UAC is proud to sponsor the Underwriting Agency of the Year award,” said CEO Jenny Bax (main photo, left side). “The recipient represents the pinnacle of professionalism in client service and underwriting across the many underwriting agencies operating in the Australian market.”

This is the highest honour at the Insurance Business Australia Awards.
This award recognises and celebrates a leading figure who has contributed much to the advancement of the insurance industry in Australia.
Though there are no defined parameters, this award will acknowledge someone with an established history and reputation of distinguished service to the insurance profession and who has exhibited leadership and provided inspiration to others in the sector and own workplace, whilst putting the interests of the industry at the top of their priorities throughout their career.
There are no excellence awardees for this category. Nominations will be evaluated by the shortlisting team. The recipient of this award will be contacted before the awards event and will be revealed at the Insurance Business Awards gala dinner.
