Agile Underwriting Services (Agile) has continued to expand its aviation capacity with the appointment of veteran broker David Tait to its underwriting team.
Tait has been an aviation broker for over 10 years. He is also an experienced pilot with a private pilot’s license, UAS RPL, and solo glider pilot. Based in Brisbane, he is set to join the Agile aviation team by mid-October and will be working alongside other insurance professionals with real-word aviation experience. Agile’s head of aviation Mike Dalton said the team is “both lucky and excited” to have him on board.
“David brings a wealth of knowledge about the local market and insights into the needs of aviation professionals and enthusiasts,” said Dalton. “We’ll be tapping into this knowledge to further improve our service to the aviation community.”
Agile is one of Insurance Business Australia’s 5-Star Technology 2022 winners and Insurance Business Australia Awards 2022 excellence awardees. The company describes itself as a “next generation MGA,” having recently launched the 50th niche industry product on its online platform last August. Through the Powered by Agile platform, the aviation team provides a wide range of products, insuring risks varying from foot-launched paragliders to heavy airline equipment.
