The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), the ombudsman service for the Australian financial services industry, has completed updating its dashboard, Datacube.
The six-monthly update made the data on complaints publicly accessible to financial firms and consumers. The ombudsman also added data covering firms with four or more complaints in the six months to December 31, 2022.
The AFCA Datacube is part of the ombudsman's commitment to promoting transparency by providing firms and consumers with access to its data.
The data provides member firms with a statistical understanding of how they compare within their industries. It also helps consumers and small businesses make informed choices when sourcing financial products and services.
The AFCA Datacube – which includes data since AFCA's inception on November 1, 2018 – can be searched by firm name or filtered by type of firm, product, service, or postcode.
AFCA is seeking industry feedback on its proposed changes to the rules governing its work in helping financial firms and consumers resolve complaints.
