The Australian insurance industry focuses on developing technological solutions as customer needs and demands change.
Yannick Giguère – the general manager of Stelvio Australia (Stelvio), which won the Insurance Business (IB) Excellence Award for Best Service Provider in 2022 – provided insights into industry-leading software solutions in the motor and property insurance and repair management spaces.
Giguère has over 20 years of experience in building software for the motor insurance industry. He has a strong software engineering background and is interested in data analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, and customer experience.
As the general manager of Stelvio, Giguère works closely with his team to provide the highest quality of solutions to support the customers of Stelvio's EstImage suite of products across Australia. As Stelvio expands its footprint in the region, Giguère is committed to ensuring that the EstImage products continue to evolve with the company to help customers to meet changing business needs and market drivers.
Giguère said that Stelvio's EstImage is a cloud-based motor assessing and insurance management software platform that helps the Australian insurance industry solve complex business challenges by maximising efficiency when assisting customers in repairing, replacing, or reimbursing damaged goods.
The suite of products also helps insurance businesses move beyond assessing by delivering a complete workflow and supplier management solution – combined with a total communications hub for insurance providers, suppliers, and repairers.
EstImage motor, part of the EstImage product suite, has been Stelvio's flagship product for a long time.
“[EstImage motor] serves organisations involved in the assessing and repairs processes, [including] insurers, brokers, assessors, repairs, and self-insured fleets,” Giguère told IB. “When I talk about repairs, it starts with the triage of the job allocating to the appropriate supplier coding, assessing, authorising the repairs, and invoicing.”
Giguère added that EstImage is flexible as its products may also be used for the property insurance industry.
