BJS Insurance Group Pty Ltd provides insurance agent and brokerage services for a range of coverage types. All entities within the group are 100% Australia-owned and holds membership with the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and the Steadfast Group.
The group’s lines of business consist of personal, commercial, and specialty insurance. Apart from tapping Australia’s insurance market, BJS partners with several global insurers, particularly the Lloyd’s of London insurance markets, to cater to the unique needs of each client.
Through its subsidiary Vision Claims and Risk Management Services Pty Ltd, the group provides claims management services for insured and self-insured losses, as well as risk management and reduction services to clients.
BJS Insurance Group operates three businesses, each providing a range of insurance advice and coverages to suit the varying needs of its individual and commercial clients.
Fanning has been with BJS Insurance Group for more than two decades, joining the organisation in January 2002. Prior to this, he was a surveyor at Concord Insurance Group.
Taking on the role of CEO and Director was pretty much up to Belinda—she's also the owner, and now you know where the “BJS” comes from! Her father worked with Concord Underwriting, so she grew into this role almost from birth.
Van Diemen was appointed CFO of the group in January 2014. Before this, he served as director at Pitcher Partners. He also had stints with PwC, gas giant Shell, and consulting firm EisnerAmper.
Phelan has been leading the operations side of BJS Insurance Group since February 2002. Before joining the group, she was managing director at Morris Lloyd Insurance Brokers.
