James has had an outstanding career in insurance. Starting out in claims handling at the age of 18, he progressed through claims, underwriting including motor, liability and corporate property insurance before launching into the role of Business Development Manager at the age of 26. James has worked as a BDM for over 20 years. 

In 2008, James joined GT Insurance as a Business Development Manager in their Melbourne branch. He made significant inroads into building GT Insurance's Victorian portfolio in commercial and heavy transport. During that time the GT Insurance portfolio more than doubled under James' guidance. 

James has developed solid long-term relationships with GT Insurance's Victorian brokers on both personal and professional levels. His relationship connections are often multi-generational reflecting his care for the individuals and their families. In addition, he has a passion for participating in charity funding events with his broker clients. On a business level, James consistently demonstrates his customer-centric approach with his proactive attitude, clear communication, loyalty and fairness. His commitment to service and support has ensured the success of brokers in developing their own transport portfolios and providing high quality support to their own clients. James is responsible for developing mutually beneficial relationships between brokers, GT Insurance underwriters and claims personnel. 

James displays the GT Insurance culture, with his specialised industry knowledge and a deep commitment to excellent customer service. Notwithstanding the challenges of the past two years, James has continued to support his colleagues and broker clients on a personal and professional basis ensuring their wellbeing and continued professional success.
