India insurer Tata AIA Life has promoted Rishi Srivastava as its new CEO and managing director.
Srivastava will begin his term in August. He moves up from his current position as the firm’s chief of proprietary channels, product, marketing & corporate communication.
Meanwhile, outgoing CEO and managing director Naveen Tahilyani will move to AIA Hong Kong as chief executive, group partnership distribution, The Economic Times reported. Tahilyani has been the India insurer’s head since January 2015. This year, Tata AIA Life was recognized by Aon as one of India’s best employers.
Srivastava joined the company in 2016. He has more than two decades’ experience in finance and insurance, including work at ICICI Prudential as chief agency officer and general manager of ICICI Bank.
According to People Matters, Srivastava was instrumental in setting up and driving Tata AIA’s Agency workforce and successfully built the Premier Agency model in India. Tata AIA Life began operations in April 2001 as a joint venture between Tata Sons and AIA Group.
