JLT Re has named Graeme Harley as managing director of its Indonesia operations, pending regulatory approval.
Initially, Harley will be based in Singapore and will later relocate to the company’s office in Jakarta once his appointment has received official approval.
Harley moves to JLT Re from IBS Risk, where he was a technical advisor. He has previously worked with JLT, having spent 14 years with the company until 2005.
Kenny Moyes, CEO of JLT Re Asia, commented on the appointment: “Graeme Harley is a great addition to the team and has been in the industry for over 25 years where he coincidentally started his career with Jardine Insurance Brokers Group in London before transferring to Singapore, where he worked in the wholesale reinsurance broking operation of JLT Asia.”
According to the reinsurer, there is great potential for growth in Indonesia in the reinsurance, analytics and advisory fields, given its population composition and geographical situation.
