There has been a major change at the top of global reinsurer MS Amlin AG.
The company has today announced the departure of CEO Christopher Beazley, effective immediately. He has stood down from his post and is set to pursue opportunities outside the firm, after leading it for the last three years. He originally joined the company back in 2007 and held several leadership roles during his tenure.
On an interim basis, he will be replaced by Martin Albers, current chairman of the board of directors.
“On behalf of the entire team at MS Amlin, we thank Chris for his service and dedication to the company,” said Albers. “He has navigated MS AAG through a complex transition, laying a strong foundation to carry the business forward. We appreciate his contributions as CEO and various leadership roles over the past decade. We wish Chris every success in his future endeavours.”
Beazley was described as a “well-respected reinsurance leader” and the firm noted that it anticipates announcing a new CEO “in the near future.”
