Miller has announced new appointments for senior roles in the company as it works on the enhancement of its growth in the Asian region. The announcement comes following a number of senior appointments in the past 18 months.
In a statement, Miller said that it has appointed Nigel Cross to become the head of facultative reinsurance in Asia. Alongside his new role, Cross will also lead Miller’s underwriting market engagement strategy in Singapore and the wider region.
Meanwhile, Matthew Hooker has been appointed as head of energy and marine for the Asia-Pacific region. As head of marine in Asia, Hooker will be working closely with Nick King, marine practice lead for Asia at Miller Singapore.
“Asia forms an important part of Miller’s international growth strategy and these new appointments provide us with greater focus as we continue to expand in the region,” said Ron Whyte, head of Miller Asia. “Both Nigel and Mathew have over 20 years’ experience successfully leading businesses and driving client and market engagement in Asia. As such, these exciting new leadership changes will allow us to strengthen our strategic client service and market relationships and enhance our core growth strategy to diversify by geography, product line and distribution channel.”
