International insurer Chubb has announced the appointment of Jason Keen as head of property & casualty for Asia-Pacific. Keen will succeed Paul McNamee, who will become regional president for Asia-Pacific later this year.
Keen will manage Chubb's extensive commercial property & casualty portfolio across the region, including property & terrorism, energy, construction, casualty, financial lines, surety, environmental, SME, marine, and custom industry solutions. Currently, he is the head of property for Chubb in the region, having retained the position after ACE acquired Chubb in January 2016.
Having first joined ACE as a regional property underwriter in 2010, Keen was later promoted to Singapore head of property and casualty. In 2013, he was appointed head of property for Asia. The responsibility was expanded to include Australia and New Zealand in the following year. Keen also has underwriting experience with Lloyd’s in London and North America. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Bristol and a Dip CII certification from The Chartered Insurance Institute.
McNamee commented on the promotion, saying: "Jason is a proven leader with a strong sense of vision for his business and an unwavering focus on execution. He has demonstrated leadership in underwriting and all that this encompasses including analytics, portfolio management, marketing, and distribution management. We are delighted to once again be able to promote talent from within our ranks to such a critical position in a region which continues to offer so much potential."
