As regional head of the multinationals business in the Americas, Mitchell will report directly to AGCS global head of multinational Ole Ohlmeyer in Munich. Mitchell will be based in Chicago.
In a release, Ohlmeyer explained that the decision to create the new position was driven by the need to simplify the multinational operational model, by bringing the capabilities and knowledge of the global clients unit and regional practice leader functions closer together on a regional level. It is hoped that the new role will help optimise AGCS’s International Insurance Solutions (IIS) client servicing capabilities.
Mitchell has served as the head of AGCS’s global clients unit, Americas, since July 2014. He first joined Allianz in 2003, initially serving as head of finance planning and performance management, as well as head of finance operations.
He received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and his BA in finance and economics from Lewis University in Illinois.
