Margaret Ammon, the chief risk officer for asset management at M&G Plc, is moving to Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) in February next year.
Subject to regulatory approval, Ammon’s appointment as CRO of the Legal & General unit will see the London-based risk management expert take charge of the oversight and development of LGIM’s risk functions globally.
Ammon, who has also worked in Asia and Australia, was chief risk officer at Colonial First State Global Asset Management and Old Mutual Asset Managers in 2015-2017 and 2006-2011, respectively. In addition, the KPMG alumnus served as Asia-Pacific head of risk from 2011 to 2015 at Schroders.
“Margaret brings more than 20 years’ experience in risk management, having held senior roles at a number of high-profile asset management companies,” noted LGIM chief executive Michelle Scrimgeour.
“Her proven track record in building global risk oversight models, coupled with a strong understanding of practical application within differing asset classes and markets, will be an invaluable addition to our business.”
